How does it work?

At different times of year your car has different  needs. Our seasonal health-check keeps your car in tip top condition whatever the weather. 

• Lights – poor visibility is a common cause of road accidents, and with night’s drawing in, it’s important to ensure your car’s lights are working as they should.
• Wiper Blades – with an increased likelihood of rain, snow and ice, it’s important to check that your wiper blades are fit for purpose so that you can see clearly.
• Oil – Sufficient oil is essential to keep your car running smoothly. Without it, your engine could seize up completely, resulting in costly repairs. Prevent the likelihood of this happening by ensuring your car’s oil remains at the correct level.
• Car Battery – Did you know that car batteries account for a fifth of all breakdowns? Cold winter mornings increase the stress put on car batteries, making battery failure more common. Reduce your chance of an unexpected breakdown this winter by ensuring yours is in good working order.
• Screen Wash (Includes FREE top up) – not only will it help clean your windscreen, but our screen wash also contains an antifreeze agent to help prevent the screen wash bottle from freezing up
• Tyre Inspection-It is essential to ensure that your tyres are fully prepared for the possible change in terrain as roads can become icy and wet over the colder months.

During a Winter Check, tyre tread-depth and pressure will be inspected to establish if they are safe to drive on. There is the option to perhaps switch to winter tyres for better grip and cornering ability – our mechanics will advise you on the best course of action.

Summer checks can also be carried out and those will include checking your conditioning system for any leaks or damage, we can repair or regas air condition for an additional charge. Please speak to a mechanic for further information.

How do you know if your vehicle needs an air-conditioning service?

Chances are that the system simply won’t be working. When you hit the air conditioning button it may light up but the car doesn’t get any cooler. Whatever the issue is we’ll help restore the calm, cool environment in your car.
